Job summary

Nivoda is expanding its global trade operations, and this role sits within Fulfilment, close to shipments and broker relationships where trade compliance is executed daily. You will own classifications, duties and documentation, partnering with Legal & Compliance to ensure compliant, duty-efficient shipping across borders.

As an individual contributor with high ownership, you will build operating rhythms from the ground up, scaling processes as the jewellery business grows across markets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in global trade compliance or customs operations.
• Direct experience managing customs broker relationships and shipment documentation at volume.
• Experience filing duty drawback or tariff reclaim claims.
• Comfortable working as an individual contributor with autonomy.
• EU or UK residency with ability to work across time zones.
• Strong stakeholder management with internal and external teams.
• Commercial mindset: link compliance work to cost savings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage duty drawings, documentation and classifications for shipments.
• Apply HTS classifications and country-of-origin determinations.
• Maintain relationships with customs brokers and monitor performance.
• Identify and file claims for duty drawbacks or tariff reclaims.
• Coordinate across Legal, Fulfilment and Ops for compliant processes.
• Monitor duties within landed costs and flag unexpected duty outcomes.
• Support expansion into new duty-liable markets and scalable processes.
