Job summary

Xsens is seeking a hands-on Computer Vision Engineer to lead camera-based perception for motion capture. You will build deep learning and computer vision pipelines that turn camera data into robust 3D human pose estimates, collaborating with sensor fusion experts and academia.

Qualifications

• MSc/PhD in CS/EE/Robotics with industry or applied research experience.
• Hands-on experience training DL models for pose estimation with public benchmarks.
• Solid understanding of camera and lens models, calibration, and multi-view geometry.
• Familiar with keypoint sets and SMPL-family representations.
• Experience with markerless tools such as OpenCV, Sapiens, and SAM3D.
• Proficient in Python; working knowledge of C++ for integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead camera-based perception for Xsens motion capture.
• Establish deep learning and computer vision pipelines to convert images into pose estimates.
• Develop camera models and calibration routines for various configurations.
• Evaluate motion capture output and design compensatory algorithms.
• Build training/evaluation pipelines from recordings and use synthetic data when needed.
• Monitor CV research trends and assess feasibility for Xsens products.
