Job summary

LUXEED Robotics B.V. is a Dutch early-stage AgTech startup using lasers and AI to weed fields with precision. The role focuses on designing and evaluating deep learning models, aiming to deploy reliable AI on embedded hardware for real-time robotic control.

You will work with cutting-edge architectures, optimize inference with TensorRT/ONNX, and collaborate across AI, robotics, and hardware teams to push the limits of field-ready AI systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, AI, Robotics, or related field.
• Strong hands‑on experience with PyTorch and deep learning model development.
• Background in computer vision tasks: detection, segmentation, regression, keypoint estimation.
• Experience optimizing inference with TensorRT, ONNX, or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with embedded/edge AI hardware (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, GPUs, or similar).
• Solid understanding of neural network architecture design and training best practices.
• Strong coding skills in Python; C++ knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and evaluate deep learning models in PyTorch for object detection, segmentation, regression, and keypoint tracking.
• Work with state-of-the-art architectures and adapt them to agricultural use cases.
• Optimize models for embedded deployment using TensorRT, ONNX, and hardware accelerators.
• Build efficient training and inference pipelines, focusing on speed, accuracy, and robustness.
• Conduct experiments, manage datasets, and implement preprocessing/augmentation to improve generalization.
• Collaborate with robotics and software teams to integrate models into real-time robotic control systems.
• Track metrics and performance in production, iterating to improve reliability in field conditions.
