Are you curious about the legal aspects involved in bringing the tastiest cookies, chocolates, and snacks to the market? Then we have a spot for you as an intern within the Regulatory Affairs team at Koninklijke Verkade in Zaandam starting in September 2026. During this internship, you will have the opportunity to work at a top A‑brand organization with Verkade and Sultana as absolute favourites, but also McVitie’s and Godiva. You will be involved throughout the entire process: from coming up with a new recipe to the final design.
Within the Regulatory Affairs team, we ensure daily that all our products meet all (legal) requirements. As an intern, you will support the entire team. You are truly part of the team and will have a lot of responsibility. We try to tailor the projects as much as possible to your interests and learning goals, so you can start your workday with pleasure. We work closely with other departments in Zaandam and teams within pladis, ensuring you have a varied internship and can orient yourself broadly.

During your internship, you will work on the following topics:
You are a 3rd or 4th-year student with a university or HBO study in the field of nutrition or dietetics, specifically focused on legislation. You are curious, precise, and have a positive attitude. You are proficient in Dutch and English, both spoken and written, as you will be part of an international team. Fellow students would describe you as communicative and stress‑resistant. You are available for at least five, preferably six months to work with us. The internship is five days a week; it is possible to work four days and spend the fifth day on research from your studies. The workplace is in Zaandam but can also be partly done from home.
