Job summary

GROW is seeking a Trailer Mechanic specialized in refrigerated systems to join a leading workshop supporting a large fleet of refrigerated trailers in the Netherlands. You will maintain and repair cooling installations, diagnose issues, and ensure safety standards for temperature-controlled transport.

The role requires experience with refrigeration engines, electronics, and diagnostic tools, plus a strong command of English.

Qualifications

• Graduate of3-year vocational diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical Technology or Automotive
• Experience as trailer mechanic or refrigerated trailer technician
• Strong knowledge of cooling systems, refrigeration engines, electronics, and diagnostics
• Ability to repair both mechanical and electrical faults
• Experience with diagnostics tools and software (preferred)
• Good command of English

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on refrigerated trailers and cooling installations
• Work on refrigeration engines (Carrier units and similar brands)
• Conduct FRC and CFC inspections for cooling systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cooling performance, temperature control, and electronics
• Perform diagnostics using advanced software and readout equipment
• Maintain and repair chassis, axles, brakes, suspension, and lighting
• Overhaul or repair technical appendages and fittings
• Conduct repairs that result from inspection findings
• Ensure trailers transporting temperature sensitive or hazardous products meet all safety requirements
• Refurbish or assist with PCB repairs
• Perform modifications or custom adjustments based on customer needs
• Support tire service, brake testing, and reefer adjustments
• Work within a skilled workshop team and handle occasional breakdown repairs
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with technical standards
