Intro
Rangeerder / Truck Shunter | Evening & Night Shifts | €3.100 - €3.600
21 loading docks. Trucks arriving and leaving. A busy distribution center that never stands still. And you're the one keeping everything moving.
For a large distribution center in Eindhoven, we're looking for an experienced Rangeerder / Truck Shunter who knows how to handle heavy vehicles, stays calm under pressure and always thinks a few steps ahead.
This isn't just about driving trucks from one spot to another. It's about planning, anticipating what comes next and making sure the entire logistics operation runs smoothly.
If you enjoy working with trucks, solving logistical puzzles and taking responsibility, this could be exactly the job you're looking for.
Imagine this: eight loading docks are operating at the same time. Trucks are arriving, trailers are being loaded and unloaded, and drivers are preparing to leave.
One truck pulls away from a dock. Another needs to take its place immediately. Meanwhile, a trailer needs to be moved, a driver is waiting for instructions and the loading schedule suddenly changes.
Your job? Make sure everything keeps running.
As a Truck Shunter, you're responsible for moving trucks, trailers and other heavy vehicles around the distribution center's yard.
You'll position vehicles precisely at the correct loading docks, connect and disconnect trailers and make sure the next vehicle is ready as soon as a dock becomes available but there's much more to this job than driving.
With 21 loading docks and multiple trucks moving around the site, you need to constantly think ahead. Which trailer needs to be moved first? Where can you safely park a vehicle? Which dock will become available next? And how can you prevent unnecessary delays? You'll work closely with truck drivers, warehouse employees and the team leader to keep everything organized.
We're looking for someone who feels comfortable behind the wheel of a truck, but also understands what's happening around them. You're the type of person who sees what needs to happen before someone has to tell you. You can think logically, make quick decisions and stay focused, even when several things are happening at once. You don't panic when plans change. Instead, you adjust your priorities and find a solution.
Experience in a busy warehouse, transport hub or distribution center would be an advantage. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who enjoys being responsible for getting things done properly.
Sound like your kind of job?
