Job summary

Lokaal Werkt in Eindhoven is seeking an experienced Rangeerder / Truck Shunter for a busy distribution center. You will manage yard movements, dock assignments and trailer handling during evening and night shifts.

With 21 loading docks, the role demands planning ahead and strong logistics thinking. As a truck shunter you move trucks and trailers, ensuring docks are used efficiently while coordinating with drivers and warehouse staff to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience as a truck driver.
• Valid Category C driving licence; CE strongly preferred.
• Experience operating different types of trucks and trailers.
• Previous experience as a shunter/yard driver is a strong advantage.
• Good spatial awareness and manoeuvring skills.
• Good command of the English language.
• The ability to work independently and take initiative.
• A responsible attitude towards safety and equipment.
• Flexibility to work evening, night and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Move trucks, trailers and other heavy vehicles around the yard.
• Position vehicles at correct loading docks and connect/disconnect trailers.
• Ensure the next vehicle is ready when a dock becomes available.
• Think ahead to prevent delays and keep operations running smoothly.
• Collaborate with truck drivers, warehouse staff and team leader.
