Job summary

ABB's R&D Center in Ede hosts a dedicated Testing & Lab Specialist who tests and validates electrical distribution products. You will execute laboratory test plans, maintain certifications, and coordinate with external laboratories and certification bodies to ensure compliance with quality standards and electrical regulations.

Qualifications

• Completed MBO Level 4 education in Electrical Engineering or HBO degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of technical work experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret standards, regulations, technical specifications, and test plans.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine and qualification tests for new and existing products.
• Define, plan, and execute test plans with timely completion.
• Maintain product certifications and support certification processes.
• Coordinate testing activities with external laboratories and certification bodies.
• Identify product non-conformities and propose technical solutions.
• Support maintenance activities for laboratory equipment and test setups.
• Assist external certification inspectors during product testing activities.
• Ensure prototypes are assembled correctly and test results are documented and reported.
