Job summary

KRUSH Labs is seeking an hands-on R&D Lab Operations Specialist to establish, manage, and continuously improve our laboratory environment. You will ensure the required components, tools, equipment, and facilities for prototype development are available, organized, and well maintained.

You will own lab operations including setup, inventory control, component cataloguing, storage standards, stock replenishment, SOP development, equipment maintenance, and technical procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Technical Operations, or related field.
• 4–7 years of hands-on lab experience in physics, electronics, engineering or prototype labs.
• Experience with lab setup, inventory management, component cataloguing, asset tracking, stock replenishment, and ERP or inventory systems.
• Knowledge of SOP development, ESD controls, safe-storage practices, equipment maintenance, calibration and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Set up and continuously improve the R&D laboratory environment, workstations, testing areas, and storage.
• Forecast requirements with engineering teams to ensure component availability for prototypes.
• Implement and maintain an inventory system, catalog, and traceability standards for components and tools.
• Develop and maintain a component catalogue with part numbers, specifications, datasheets, suppliers, and stock levels.
• Define stock levels, reorder points, and replenishment processes to prevent shortages.
• Create SOPs for lab access, equipment use, inventory management, maintenance, calibration, safety, and waste disposal.
• Oversee sourcing and procurement of components and equipment, including supplier evaluation and quotation comparison.
• Plan lab budget with Managing Director and monitor expenditures to align with R&D priorities.
• Maintain equipment and asset register; coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Promote a safe, organized lab with regular inspections and clear documentation.
