Job description
Join us as R&D Food Compliance Intern at our international headquarters in Utrecht, starting in March 2026

In this internship, you will support the Food Compliance team with knowledge management and assist in ensuring the compliance of JDE products for relevant markets.

Key activities include:

  • Knowledge management system: Conduct research and evaluation of the knowledge management system at JDE Peet’s to evaluate the suitability of the system for Food compliance as well as suggesting areas of improvements.
  • Data Gathering & Organization: Research existing regulatory frameworks to extract relevant information and summarize it in a user-friendly format, enhancing the user experience based on their functions and usage.
  • Digitalisation & AI solutions to disseminate information internally and to stakeholders.
  • Product compliance: Review specifications to ensure recipe and finish product compliance.
  • Labelling: Review copy and artwork to ensure compliant artworks enter the market.

Qualifications

  • Academic Program: You are enrolled in a MSc program for the entirety of the internship, preferably in Food Law, Quality, Food safety, Nutrition or Food Science.
  • Skillset: You possess strong MS Office skills and proficient with Artificial intelligence tools. Fluent proficiency in speaking and written English.
  • Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • Commitment: You are ready to dedicate at least 5 months to this internship, preferably from 2nd March until end of Augustus 2026.
  • Availability: You can join the internship for 5 days per week, including three days in-office and one or two days remotely, ensuring an ideal balance between collaboration and independence.

Eligibility criteria and academic requirements:

  • Your internship should be included in your study curriculum and directly contribute to your academic results.
  • Your educational institution is willing to sign a collaboration agreement with JDE Peet's and when joining our Research departments, also sign an NDA agreement for internships.
  • You are either an EU(EEA) student residing in the Netherlands during the internship or a Non-EU(EEA) student enrolled and living in the Netherlands during the internship.
