Focus Engineering is looking for an R&D Eplan Design Engineer for a machine builder in the Utrecht region.

The client is a machine builder focused on the food industry. They are the global market leader in their specific field. From design to development, production, and installation, everything is done in‑house, allowing you to experience the entire process. At the client’s location, there are a total of 600 employees from various nationalities. The R&D department consists of about 40 people, with 15 in the Hardware department. Due to an increase in projects, they are looking for additional support.

Location: Amersfoort, Utrecht, Netherlands

Responsibilities

• Develop modular and configurable solutions by converting (complex) technical designs into electrical drawings, all in accordance with the specified requirements and quality standards.
• Verify and validate the design through simulations, test executions, and reviews to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Prepare and maintain product documentation such as user manuals, material lists, and revision management for proper traceability and usability.
• Propose and implement improvements in the current R&D processes, for example, by standardizing practices.

• Completed education in the field of Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Hardware Engineer.
• Relevant knowledge of EPLAN.
• Gross yearly salary between EUR 50,000-70,000.
