Job summary

Supermicro seeks a senior Quality/Environmental/IS management professional to lead the development and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements globally.

You will plan and execute internal and external audits, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to elevate quality, environmental performance, and customer satisfaction while mentoring staff and aligning with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in quality, environmental, or related management systems in manufacturing/high-tech environments.
• Experience developing, implementing, and leading QMS/EMS audits (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
• Certified Internal Auditor certification for one or more ISO standards is preferred.
• Strong ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and management.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) with data analysis experience.
• Knowledge of risk management methodologies (FMEA, FTA) and KPI-based performance measurement.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with deadlines.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10–20%.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and continually improve the company's Integrated Management System (IMS), including Quality and Environmental components.
• Plan, conduct, report, and follow up on internal audits, including corrective actions and closure of findings.
• Coordinate and support audits with customers, regulators, and third parties.
• Develop, review, approve, and maintain Quality Procedures, Work Instructions, SOPs, and IMS documents.
• Monitor IMS KPIs and drive corrective and preventive actions to improve performance.
• Lead continual improvement initiatives to enhance process effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Identify, assess, communicate, and elevate IMS risks to management and support mitigation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve IMS issues and improve processes.
• Provide training and guidance on IMS requirements to employees and process owners.
• Serve as SME for IMS processes and compliance requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of ISO standards and industry best practices; recommend improvements.
• Prepare management reports, analyze IMS performance, and present audit results and trends.
• Support management reviews, certification activities, and strategic quality initiatives.
• Lead or participate in special projects and other duties.

Job Summary

This position works directly with multiple teams to support the development and implementation of a proactive Quality Management System, Environmental Management System (EMS), and Information Security Management (ISM) in compliance with ISO 9001 / 13485 / 14001 / 27001 globally. This includes the creation, training, deployment, auditing, and maintenance of the global Supermicro Quality and Environmental Managements Systems.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and continually improve the company's Integrated Management System (IMS), including Quality, Environmental, and other applicable management systems.
• Plan, conduct, report, and follow up on internal audits, including verification of corrective actions and ensuring timely closure of audit findings.
• Coordinate and support customer, certification, regulatory, and third-party audits, ensuring organizational audit readiness.
• Develop, review, approve, and maintain Quality Procedures (QPs), Work Instruction Procedures (WIPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), forms, and other controlled IMS documents.
• Monitor, analyze, and report IMS and departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and drive corrective and preventive actions to improve performance.
• Lead continual improvement initiatives to enhance process effectiveness, compliance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with applicable ISO standards, regulatory requirements, customer requirements, and internal policies.
• Identify, assess, communicate, and elevate quality, environmental, regulatory, and compliance risks to management, and support effective risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve quality system issues, implement corrective actions, and improve business processes.
• Provide training, coaching, and guidance on IMS requirements, quality standards, audit practices, and best practices to employees and process owners.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for IMS-related processes, standards, and compliance requirements, providing technical guidance across the organization.
• Maintain current knowledge of applicable ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, and recommend improvements as needed.
• Prepare management reports, analyze quality system performance, and present audit results, trends, and recommendations to leadership.
• Support management reviews, certification activities, and strategic quality initiatives to ensure continued effectiveness of the IMS.
• Lead or participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Environmental Science, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 5 years with a Master's degree, in Quality, Environmental, or other Management Systems within a manufacturing and/or high-tech environment.
• Experience developing, implementing, and leading Quality and Environmental Management System audits in the semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical device, or related industries.
• Strong working knowledge of international management system standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, AS9100, and IATF 16949 (formerly ISO/TS 16949).
• Certified Internal Auditor certification for one or more ISO standards is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, suppliers, and all levels of management.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of risk management methodologies (e.g., FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis) and performance measurement using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment requiring prolonged use of a computer, keyboard, monitor, telephone, and other standard office equipment.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10–20% as business needs require.
