Job summary

Right Contract Services Ltd. seeks an experienced QA/QC professional to lead quality across construction sites, ensuring compliance with project requirements and customer deliverables.

You will interface between site operations and project management to implement procedures and management systems. The role requires strong leadership, a track record in large-scale projects, and expertise in ISO 9001, Lean Construction, and data-driven quality improvements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in QA/QC roles within construction, engineering, or related project environments.
  • Proven experience managing quality systems on large-scale construction or engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and health & safety principles is advantageous.
  • Experience with digital quality management systems and data analytics tools.
  • Understanding of Lean Construction and Right First Time methodologies.
  • Auditor training to recognised ISO standards.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive quality culture across project sites through leadership and example.
  • Lead and manage site quality activities and installation processes to ensure project requirements and customer deliverables are achieved.
  • Act as the interface between site operations and project management teams to ensure customer requirements are addressed through project procedures and management systems.
  • Ensure benchmarks are prepared in accordance with technical submissions and contractual requirements and are ready for review.
  • Coordinate the timely preparation, review, and submission of quality documentation for installation and handover activities.
  • Support walkthrough, inspection, and handover processes as required.
  • Drive the implementation of quality management systems and ensure compliance across the project.
  • Deliver training and guidance on quality management systems, standards, and best practices.
  • Support project delivery teams by coordinating the collection, organization, and maintenance of quality records and installation data.
  • Monitor and report on quality performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the onboarding of new personnel regarding quality systems and procedures.
  • Facilitate training for project teams and suppliers on quality requirements and best practices.
  • Carry out quality assessments, health checks, and site inspections of construction activities.
  • Manage and communicate non-conformances, defects, and corrective actions to relevant project stakeholders.
  • Promote quality awareness and embed quality-focused processes and support tools throughout the project team.
  • Support colleagues and project teams through effective quality management practices.
  • Deliver quality awareness workshops and training sessions.
  • Provide guidance on quality concerns and assist in identifying practical solutions.
  • Attend project meetings to provide quality-related support and advice.
  • Collect and analyse KPI data, including audit results, non-conformances, customer feedback, satisfaction measures, and supplier performance.
  • Prepare quality performance reports for project leadership and senior management as required.
  • Escalate quality concerns where inadequate controls or processes are identified.
  • Attend meetings with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders when required.
  • Support customer and third-party audits and inspections.

Job description

  • Ensure quality remains a core focus throughout all project activities.
  • Review and support the close-out of quality audits and inspections.
  • Carry out quality assessments, health checks, and site inspections of construction activities.
  • Manage and communicate non-conformances, defects, and corrective actions to relevant project stakeholders.
  • Promote quality awareness and embed quality-focused processes and support tools throughout the project team.
Support Responsibilities
  • Support colleagues and project teams through effective quality management practices.
  • Deliver quality awareness workshops and training sessions.

Experience

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and related quality management systems.
  • Proficiency in quality documentation, reporting, and record management tools.

Qualifications & Training
  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional quality qualification or equivalent practical experience.
  • Auditor training to recognised ISO standards.
  • Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g. CQI, IRCA, or equivalent).
  • Postgraduate qualification in Quality Management, Continuous Improvement, or a related discipline.
  • Additional training in Lean, Six Sigma, or process optimisation methodologies.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification or equivalent.
