Weheat is building next-generation heat pumps and invites a hands-on Quality Engineering lead to prevent issues at source and drive root-cause fixes. The role sits at the intersection of factory, field, and product, spending substantial time on the production floor to ensure learnings flow into design and processes.

Qualifikationen

• A degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, refrigeration technology, or a comparable technical field.
• Several years of experience in quality engineering in a hardware product environment, ideally in HVAC, refrigeration, white goods, automotive, or another high-volume manufacturing context.
• Solid command of pFMEA / dFMEA, 8D problem solving, and statistical quality methods.
• Comfort with data: pulling it, looking at it, and using it to make decisions. You don't wait for a dashboard to be built for you.
• Willingness to work on-site in Duizel and to spend real time on the production floor and with engineering teams.
• Ownership mentality: you feel 51% owner of your topics and make sure they move forward.

Aufgaben

• Prevent quality issues from happening, and when they do happen, you make sure they never happen again.
• Address risks early during industrialization, leading triage when issues emerge, and translating patterns from field telemetry into concrete improvements upstream.
• Spend meaningful time on the production floor and stay close to engineering teams to shorten the loop from field reality back to design and process.
• Lead the triage of quality issues from production and from the field, and run 8D problem solving with operations and engineering to fix them at the root.
• Act as first contact for customers on quality topics and ensure systemic issues elevate into the engineering and product backlog.
• Cooperate with purchasing on supplier quality strategies as we scale volumes.
• Monitor quality trends across production and the installed base and define improvement projects from them.
• Help define what the quality system should look like as the company grows, maintaining high standards.
