Venteon is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer for a Tier 1 supplier in the Grand Rapids metro area. The role focuses on developing and maintaining quality systems to support manufacturing excellence.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC and MSA, with hands-on QMS/QOS implementation and data-driven problem solving. This full-time position offers growth, audits support, and a track record of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in quality engineering.
• Hands-on experience with QMS/QOS implementation, execution, or improvement.
• Experience with quality data analysis, reporting, and metrics.
• Experience supporting audits (ISO, IATF, VDA).
• Passion for quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert for QMS, QOS, and PMT deployment and sustainment.
• Support development, rollout, and continuous improvement of quality systems aligned with business goals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, stability, and waste reduction.
• Support implementation, validation, training, and optimization of quality systems and tools.
• Gather user feedback and enhance system usability and effectiveness.
• Support supplier and manufacturing quality processes through QMS/QOS tools.
• Participate in internal and external audits, including preparation and follow-up actions.
• Assist with supplier audits to ensure compliance and performance improvement.
• Monitor KPIs, identify risks, and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze data to improve reporting accuracy and drive insights.

Minimum 5 Years experience in a Quality Engineering role

Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to fill an opening with a Tier 1 Supplier located in the Grand Rapids metro area. The ideal candidates should have a strong background quality and manufacturing, specifically in developing and maintaining quality systems.

Requirements of the Quality Engineer

• 8+ years of experience
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA
• Hands-on experience with QMS/QOS implementation, execution, or improvement
• Experience with quality data analysis, reporting, and metrics
• JIT Experience ideal
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to make data-driven decisions and support corrective/preventive actions
• Experience supporting audits (ISO, IATF, VDA); certification a plus
• Passion for quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
