Tulip Tech is a Den Bosch-based manufacturer of high-density battery systems for drones. We seek a Quality Control Officer to oversee inbound, in-process, and outbound quality, ensuring right quantity, correct type, zero damage, and proper paperwork.

You will drive non-conformities, perform on-the-floor sampling, and maintain inspection instructions and records. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in quality control in manufacturing, can read technical drawings, and are proficient with ERP and

Responsibilities

• Own inbound quality: inspect deliveries against PO and packing lists; apply sampling plans and decide to accept, block, or reject.
• Perform real-time sampling on the production floor to verify dimensions, function, and assembly.
• Intervene when a process drifts: stop or flag the run and document the deviation.
• Release finished goods and outbound shipments meeting order completeness and packing standards.
• Maintain the quality system: log non-conformities, drive corrective actions, and report KPI trends.

A battery pack that leaves our building is flying over critical infrastructure or into a defence mission within days. There is no room for the wrong article, a damaged cell, a packaging error, or missing paperwork. As our Quality Control Officer, you are the last and the sharpest set of eyes on the full flow of goods: inbound, in-process, and outbound. One standard applies to every check you sign off: right quantity, right type, zero damage, correctly packed, correct paperwork.

What You Will Achieve

• Own inbound quality: inspect deliveries from internal and outsourced production against purchase order, packing list, and specification on quantity, article and variant, condition, packaging integrity, and documentation. You apply agreed sampling plans (AQL-based), and you accept, block, quarantine, or reject, initiating supplier claims where needed.
• Run real-time sampling on the production floor throughout the shift: verify dimensions, function, finish, and assembly against work instructions and specs, support operators in first-article checks, and build self-inspection discipline into the line.
• Intervene the moment a process drifts: stop or flag the run, alert the team lead, document the deviation, and verify the correction before production resumes.
• Release finished goods and outbound shipments on order completeness, correct article and quantity, damage-free condition, packing and labelling standard, and complete export and shipping paperwork. Anything that does not meet standard does not leave the building.
• Keep the quality system live and useful: log non-conformities, complaints, and returns, drive root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions, maintain inspection instructions, checklists, sampling plans, and records, keep measuring equipment calibrated, and report on quality KPIs (defect rate, supplier quality, complaints, first-pass yield) with structural improvements instead of repeat fixes.

Job Requirements

What you bring

• MBO+ or HBO level in a technical, logistics, or quality discipline.
• 2-5 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment.
• Precise, observant, and consistent, with the integrity to say no to a shipment and the communication skills to explain that decision to an operator, a team lead, or a supplier. Able to read technical drawings, specifications, and packing documentation.
• Comfortable with measuring tools, ERP and quality registration, and basic reporting in Excel.
• Fluent English. Dutch is a plus

Nice to have

• QC or inspection training: AQL sampling, ISO 9001 awareness.
• Experience in electronics, battery, or automotive production.
• Experience with Odoo or a comparable ERP and quality module.
