Job summary

Henri Willig in Heerenveen is seeking a Quality Officer to bolster the QHSE team. You will help ensure compliance with international legislation and support daily export of our cheeses to customers in 40+ countries.

This full-time role focuses on quality documentation, label checks, supplier specs, audits and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with Sales, Retail and production to maintain quality manuals, handle customer questionnaires, and research regulatory issues.

Qualifications

• Requires an MBO4 or HBO qualification in Food Technology or a related field.
• Experience in food regulatory compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draw up legal information and share with Sales/Retail and customers.
• Check labels for compliance with current legislation.
• Manage specifications for the product range.
• Apply European and other international legislation to specs and labels.
• Research regulatory issues and respond to customer queries.
• Complete customer questionnaires and specifications.
• Manage supplier specifications, certificates, and supplier questionnaires.
• Carry out supplier assessments and internal quality audits.
• Maintain and update the quality manual and safety data sheets.
• Suggest quality-related improvements to the QHSE Manager.
• Conduct hygiene rounds and contribute ideas to HSE processes.

Quality Officer Apply directly - Heerenveen - 32-36 per week - Full-time Do you have an interest in quality issues within the food sector and would you like to be part of our QHSE team at our growing, international family business? The Quality Officer supports the organisation with quality matters and thereby makes a significant contribution to ensuring compliance with all (international) legislation. In doing so, you'll help ensure that our speciality cheeses are exported daily to customers in more than 40 different countries! You will be part of the HSE team, comprising five experienced, dedicated colleagues, and you will report to the HSE Manager.

In this role, your responsibilities will include the following, amongst other things:

• You draw up legal information and provide it to the Sales and Retail departments and directly to the customer.
• You check the labels for compliance with current legislation.
• You manage the specifications for the entire product range.
• You apply European and other international legislation to the specifications and labels.
• You will research regulatory issues.
• You will answer queries from customers and the Sales department.
• You complete customer questionnaires and specifications.
• You manage supplier specifications, certificates and supplier questionnaires.
• You carry out supplier assessments.
• You carry out internal quality audits.
• You will keep the quality manual up to date.
• You manage safety data sheets.
• You make quality-related improvement proposals to the QHSE Manager.
• You carry out hygiene rounds.
• You contribute ideas on improvements to HSE processes and systems, and identify and initiate improvement proposals within the HSE policy.

There is scope to expand your responsibilities to cover other areas within the department.
