Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting a (associate) scientist in Leiden for the Microbiology testing team within the QC department. You will support microbiological testing aspects for Drug Substance and Drug Product manufacturing, and contribute to continuous improvement projects.

Requirements include a PhD or equivalent in Biochemistry, Microbiology or related field, minimum 6 years in pharma QC, with GMP knowledge; strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: PhD or equivalent in Biochemistry, Microbiology or a related field is required.
• Experience: A minimum of 6 years in the pharmaceutical industry is required, specifically within QC, with a strong emphasis on microbiology.
• Regulatory Knowledge: GMP knowledge and familiarity with worldwide regulatory requirements.
• Interpersonal Skills: Able to work independently and in teams, manage stakeholders.
• Analytical Expertise: Able to assess analytical investigation reports and statistics.

Responsibilities

• Act as scientific lead for the microbiological testing aspects of Drug Substance and Drug Product manufacturing.
• Support continuous improvement projects and troubleshoot microbiological methods.
• Prepare protocols and reports for ongoing improvement projects and resource planning.
