Job summary

Aldebaran Group is seeking a QA/QC Piping Supervisor for a large-scale international project in Rozenburg, Netherlands, focused on renewable and low-carbon hydrogen. You will lead on-site QA/QC activities for piping, welding, and NDT, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and ASME standards.

You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors, manage NCRs and ITP/MDR dossiers, and report KPIs, risks, and trends to project management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of QA/QC piping experience on large-scale industrial projects.
• Proven EPC/E&C project experience in energy, chemical, petrochemical or hydrogen sectors.
• Strong inspection, QA/QC control, and piping on-site supervision.
• Proficient with ASME B31.3 and B31.12 codes and standards.
• Experience with welding and NDT and managing welders’ qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Implement, deploy and maintain the QA/QC system on site for piping activities.
• Ensure piping works meet contractual, regulatory and normative requirements.
• Supervise QA/QC activities related to SMP works (Structure, Mechanical, Piping).
• Control fabrication, erection and installation quality of piping systems.
• Verify welding procedures and welders’ qualifications and WPS/PQR.
• Perform visual inspections and NDT related to welding activities.
• Organize pressure testing activities (hydrostatic and pneumatic) with safety.
• Review and approve contractors’ IT P, MDR, as-built dossiers.
• Manage NCRs, corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in quality audits of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate QA/QC interfaces between disciplines, partners and subcontractors.
• Act as main contact with local authorities and inspection bodies.
• Ensure QA/QC reporting (KPIs, progress, risks, trends) to project management.
• Ensure application of quality, safety and regulatory standards on site.

We are looking for a QA/QC Piping site – Large-scale international industrial project in the field of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, deploy and maintain the QA/QC system on site for piping activities
• Ensure compliance of piping works with contractual, regulatory and normative requirements
• Supervise and coordinate QA/QC activities related to SMP works (Structure, Mechanical, Piping)
• Control the quality of fabrication, erection and installation of piping systems
• Verify compliance of welding procedures, welders’ qualifications and WPS/PQR
• Perform visual inspections and NDT (VT, MT, PT) related to welding activities
• Prepare, organize and follow up pressure testing activities (hydrostatic and pneumatic), ensuring quality and safety
• Review, comment and approve contractors’ construction quality documentation (ITP, MDR, as-built dossiers)
• Manage non-conformities (NCR), corrective and preventive actions
• Participate in quality audits of subcontractors and suppliers
• Coordinate QA/QC interfaces between disciplines, partners and subcontractors
• Act as the main point of contact with local authorities and approved inspection bodies
• Ensure QA/QC reporting (KPIs, progress, risks, trends) to the project management team
• Ensure application of quality, safety and regulatory standards on site

Required Experience

• Proven experience in welding activities, NDT (VT, MT, PT) and management of welders’ qualifications
• Experience in preparation and follow-up of hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests
• Accustomed to working with international subcontractors and in multicultural environments
• Experience in reviewing and approving construction quality documentation (ITP, MDR, final dossiers)
• Practice of QA/QC reporting, non-conformity management and corrective actions
• Experience in dealing with local authorities and approved inspection bodies
• Experience on hydrogen-related projects or ATEX installations is a plus

Profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in QA/QC piping on large-scale industrial projects.
• Proven experience on EPC/E&C projects in the energy, chemical, petrochemical, or hydrogen sectors.
• Strong background in inspection, QA/QC control, and piping supervision on site.
• Proficient in ASME B31.3 and ASME B31.12 codes and standards
