Job summary

Vertigo Games in Rotterdam is offering a QA Internship for September 2026, inviting you to learn from a leading VR developer and support with bug reporting, tracking, and escalation. You'll work with a multidisciplinary team to steer implementation of engaging game features.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a QA tester for at least 1 year (preferably in games development).
  • Strong skills with bug ticket resolution and build status reporting in an issue tracking database.
  • Love gaming and staying focused to find the most hidden bugs and exploits.

Responsibilities

  • Test our games thoroughly; verifying gameplay, functionality, performance and quality.
  • Methodically execute general and specific test plans to ensure complete coverage of all features and systems of our games, and to make substantiated statements on things like difficulty and fun.
  • Proactively identify, elevate, chase and take ownership of (critical) issues through to resolution.
  • Share knowledge and findings within the rest of the QA team

QA INTERNSHIP – SEPTEMBER 2026

We are Vertigo Games, the largest VR developer in the world and part of the Embracer Group, the largest group of developers in the world.

As our studio is in full production of a true multi-platform high-end zombie shooter, and with plans for its most ambitious project to date, we are looking to QA Intern to learn from the best and support with reporting, escalating and tracking bugs through our bug tracking systems in a clear and consistent format, adding supporting evidence and examples to better highlight the issue.

Essentials

  • Love gaming
About you
  • Lots of experience playing any kind of games; a solid understanding of gameplay mechanics
  • Experience as a QA tester for at least 1 year (preferably in games development)
  • Strong skills with bug ticket resolution and build status reporting in an issue tracking database
  • Focus and drive to find the most hidden bugs and exploits; unbothered by repeating things over and over, and motivated to keep finding new, creative, angles to playing our games
  • You enjoy problem-solving and analyses, and working alongside developers in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Staying cool under pressure and able to efficiently prioritize workload accordingly to upcoming deadlines
