Job summary

Avantor in Hillegom, Netherlands, seeks a QA Engineer / Senior Quality Assurance Officer to support the expansion of manufacturing capabilities.

You will ensure new processes, equipment, and products comply with quality and regulatory requirements, working with Engineering, Operations, Validation, and Project teams to support QMS, risk management, change control, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Validation, or Manufacturing Quality.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of CAPA, Deviations, Change Control, Root Cause Analysis, Risk Assessments, and Validation.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 and GMP requirements.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English; Dutch language skills are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support qualification and validation activities for new equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Review and approve validation and quality documentation.
• Lead risk assessments and support change control activities.
• Investigate deviations, non-conformances, customer complaints, and CAPAs.
• Conduct root cause investigations and support corrective actions.
• Support internal audits and supplier qualification activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and process improvements.
• Maintain and improve Quality Management System (QMS) processes.
