Job summary

Avantor Fluid Handling in Hillegom is seeking a Customer Service Representative who is service-minded and solution-oriented to join our team. You’ll be the key link between Avantor and Biopharma customers, fostering strong partnerships and a high-quality service experience.

You will manage inbound inquiries, coordinate orders, and ensure accurate documentation while collaborating with purchasing and logistics.

Qualifications

• Education: MBO/Bachelor’s degree in Administration or similar field.
• Several years of applicable experience in a customer service role.
• Good organization and time management skills.
• Strong English communication; Dutch knowledge required.
• MS Office proficiency, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP systems like Exact or Epicor is a plus.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the customer request and experience from initiation to conclusion.
• Manage inbound customer communication regarding service status, orders, and issues.
• Coordinate and expedite customer orders, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
• Oversee the order processing from entry to shipping for smooth operations.
• Maintain records to uphold efficiency, compliance and integrity.

The Opportunity: Avantor Fluid Handling is seeking a motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team in Hillegom. As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll develop within a dynamic industry while strengthening customer relationships and enhancing the service experience. In this role, you will be the key link between Avantor and its Biopharma customers, building and maintaining strong partnerships. You’ll work in a skilled, collaborative team and engage closely with colleagues across purchasing, logistics to ensure smooth support for our customers.

What we’re looking for

• Education: MBO/ Bachelor’s degree in Administration or similar field
• Experience:Several years of applicable experience in a customer service role
• Preferred Qualifications: Good organization and time management skills
• Strong communication skills in English, and good level of Dutch is required
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite including MS Excel
• Knowledge of Exact, Epicor or similar ERP system is a plus
• Good business understanding and ability to grasp company processes and routines
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys multitasking and problem solving
• Motivated to learn, curious, and engaged
• Solid collaboration skills and a positive attitude
