Job summary

GeekSoft Consulting is seeking an Experienced IT Platform Engineer / Application Programmer to join the Data Access Layer team in Amsterdam. You will design, develop, test, and deploy reliable Python applications and APIs using FastAPI, with containerization via Docker and Kubernetes, and manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.

You will work across the full SDLC, implement IaC with Terraform, and integrate with Kafka for messaging while maintaining high availability and performance in a

Qualifications

• Strong Python expertise across the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience building APIs with Python and FastAPI.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Experience with Terraform and IaC.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Kafka and application integration.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and Bash scripting.
• Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals and testing (pytest).

Responsibilities
