iwell in Utrecht is seeking a Software Engineer for the Optimisation Team to build Python applications that decide how customers' energy assets should operate. You will translate real‑world problems into production‑ready code and ship reliable solutions.

The role requires 5+ years of Python experience, strong English, and the ability to work in an office 3–4 days per week. You will collaborate with data science and engineering to deliver impactful, maintainable software.

• 5+ years of production Python development experience.
• Translate real-world problems into working code.
• Pragmatic mindset and strong communication skills.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Office presence 3–4 days per week with 32–40 hours.

Responsabilidades

• Create charging schedules for EV fleets minimising costs while ensuring readiness.
• Model tariffs, grid limits and departure times.
• Forecast operational issues to maximise asset uptime.
• Take work to production: packaging, deployment, monitoring, bugfixing.
• Collaborate with Optimisation team on tooling, data pipelines and conventions.
