Job summary

Almaviva Group is seeking a seasoned software developer to build data-driven web solutions and automation. You will use Python for development, VBA for legacy automation, and support migrating Access solutions to SQL Server while delivering ETL processes.

Advanced BI work with Power BI, data modelling and reporting will support operational analytics. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and documentation are essential in a fast-paced, multilingual environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in software development.
• At least 5 years of professional experience with Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, SSIS, schema design, stored procedures, performance tuning).
• Proficiency with Python and frameworks for web development, data manipulation and automation.
• Proficiency with VBA applications (Excel, Access) including VBA scripting for automation scripts, data import/export utilities, and pre-processing tools.
• Good knowledge of the design, documentation and development of full stack solutions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI (data modelling, DAX, dashboards, reporting) for providing advanced visualization and reporting capabilities.
• Proficiency in ETL processes and data-preparation technologies, including SSIS, Power Query and Neo4j data-import or ETL utilities.
• Good working knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Good working knowledge of relational database development, focused on MS SQL Server, with T-SQL and stored procedures.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
• Knowledge of agile software development with Azure DevOps.
• Experience working in multilingual, international environments.
• Ability to prepare and maintain technical documentation.
• Familiarity with Docker; Kubernetes is an advantage.

REQUIREMENTS

University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, with practical knowledge in software development, databases, and small-scale system design. A solid foundation in software and database development is required to support data pre-processing and automation of business activities.

Good knowledge of agile software development methodologies with practical experience using Azure DevOps for backlog management, planning, source control, CI/CD pipelines and work tracking.

Good knowledge and display of prerequisites of working in a flexible environment including participation in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication, exposure to an international/multi-cultural environment, etc.

Good knowledge of preparing and maintaining technical documentation for developed solutions.

Good working knowledge of containerisation using Docker. Familiarity with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes is an advantage.
