Job summary

Dawn Aerospace in Delft is seeking an Embedded Systems/Software internship within the propulsion operations team to develop a communication device using embedded Linux for internal control during Assembly Integration and Testing activities.

You will implement plug-and-play communication linking propulsion software to data infrastructure, interface via CAN and serial, and gain hands-on experience operating propulsion systems with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a relevant degree (Embedded Systems, Software, CS, Aerospace, Mechatronics)
• Experience with embedded Linux is required or strongly preferred
• Experience in software development with C and Python is required
• Familiar with CAN, Ethernet, RS4-22, RS485 and other digital busses
• Experience with APIs and web sockets for network communication is desirable
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work in a team or independently
• Minimum 5 months internship duration

Responsibilities

• Implement a plug‑and‑play communication system linking propulsion software to data infrastructure
• Interface with propulsion systems using CAN and serial interfaces
• Integrate with existing testing infrastructure and tooling
• Verify and validate user experience with the testing team
