Project Operations Specialist

Project Operations Specialists play a key role in delivering successful payment, platform, and banking solutions for our customers. You’ll help turn complex implementations into smooth, well‑executed launches, working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure a high‑quality experience from onboarding through go‑live.

In this role, you’ll focus on Adyen for Platforms (AfP) — our solution that enables platforms and marketplaces to onboard their users, process payments on their behalf, and pay out their funds. You’ll coordinate implementation activities, guide customers through key decisions, and work across teams to keep projects moving forward.

This is a hands‑on role focused on operational execution, learning, and development. You’ll build a strong foundation in project delivery, stakeholder management, operational processes, and Adyen’s products, while gradually taking ownership of increasingly complex projects.

What you’ll do

• Manage customer implementation projects from onboarding through go‑live, taking ownership of project progress, stakeholder alignment, and successful delivery.
• Coordinate activities, timelines, dependencies, and follow‑ups across internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with customer project and technical teams to drive smooth and effective implementations.
• Guide customers on implementation best practices and help them make informed decisions throughout the rollout.
• Prepare for and independently lead customer meetings, ensuring clear objectives, actions, ownership, and next steps.
• Identify and troubleshoot operational issues, working with the right internal teams to resolve blockers and keep projects on track.
• Support effective handovers into business‑as‑usual operations, helping ensure a smooth transition after go‑live.
• Build and apply knowledge of Adyen’s products, operational processes, and project delivery approaches.
• Share operational insights and feedback to improve how we deliver projects and create a better customer experience.

Who you are

• You have 2+ years of experience setting up and delivering complex projects, ideally in a technical environment, and are comfortable coordinating multiple stakeholders. Experience in the payments industry or a technical background is a plus, as is familiarity or affinity with API-first SaaS, third‑party software integrations, hardware roll‑outs, and/or technical data flows.
• You are highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to keep track of multiple moving parts.
• You communicate clearly and confidently, both with customers and internal stakeholders.
• You’re comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment where priorities can change and you need to take ownership.
• You have a customer‑focused mindset and enjoy collaborating with people across different teams and functions.
• You’re curious about technical systems, operational processes, and how products are implemented in real‑world environments.
• You’re proactive and comfortable identifying issues, asking questions, and driving things forward rather than waiting for instructions.
• You work effectively with international and cross‑functional teams.
• You are fluent in English and one additional language: French, Spanish, or Italian. Other languages are a plus.
• You’re willing to travel domestically and internationally when required.
