The role

As Project Manager Medical Construction, you are the central point of contact for your projects from initiation through to delivery. You manage complex, technically demanding builds in live healthcare environments, coordinating across internal specialists, subcontractors, clients and end users. You are comfortable navigating the intersection of construction, medical technology and strict regulatory requirements, and you take ownership of quality, planning and budget throughout.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage medical construction projects end-to-end, including operating rooms, cleanrooms, laboratories and other classified medical spaces;
• Serve as primary contact for clients, architects, installers and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle;
• Develop and maintain project planning, budgets and risk registers;
• Coordinate technical disciplines including HVAC, MEP and medical equipment integration;
• Ensure compliance with applicable norms and regulations (e.g. NEN, GMP, ISO cleanroom standards);
• Monitor progress on site and manage issues proactively to keep projects on schedule and within budget;
• Manage commissioning, validation and handover processes;
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project processes and methodologies.

Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Technical Building Services or a related field;
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within construction, with experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical environments strongly preferred;
• Familiarity with cleanroom classifications, operating room standards or GMP requirements is a significant advantage;
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills — you keep all parties aligned in complex multi-disciplinary settings;
• Structured, decisive and hands‑on; you take ownership and keep a clear head under pressure;
• Proficient in Dutch and English (written and spoken);
• Based in or willing to commute to the Netherlands.
