Job summary

Qabird is seeking a Project Manager to lead internal Satellite Software and CubeSat mission projects in Delft. You will guide planning, execution and delivery from initiation to completion, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, partners and management to ensure success.

You will work with the Technical Lead to ensure technical and commercial outcomes, while managing scope, schedule, and budget in a hybrid, international environment.

• A degree or relevant experience in a technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in project management of complex technical systems (software and/or hardware).

In the fast-growing small satellite market, we are looking for a Project Manager to lead internal Satellite Software development projects, with the opportunity to also manage CubeSat mission projects. We are seeking an experienced project manager who thrives in complex technical environments and has a strong background in software development projects, hardware development projects, or an integrated combination of both.

As part of an international and passionate team, you will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects from initiation to completion. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, partners, and management to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget. Depending on the project portfolio, you will also collaborate directly with customers and suppliers, working alongside the project's Technical Lead to ensure technical and commercial success.

Your main responsibilities:

• Setting up and controlling project plans, including milestones, scope, and costs.
• Managing the day-to‑day execution of projects.
• Coordinating internal resources and external partners/vendors on a daily basis.
• Maintaining relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
