Job summary

GLS Germany is seeking a seasoned professional to join our group team at the intersection of logistics, technology and international project management. You will support central projects for parcel sorting investments, coordinate stakeholders and help ensure delivery across GLS countries.

You will help develop five-year production strategies, monitor KPIs, and explore automation technologies. You will collaborate with country teams, external consultants and group experts while gradually taking

Qualifications

• Several years of relevant professional experience in logistics, CEP or a comparable environment.
• A degree in engineering, logistics, supply chain management, business administration or another relevant discipline.
• Proven project management experience with the ability to structure, coordinate and track complex initiatives.
• Strong understanding of logistics operations with interest in technology, automation and innovation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across countries and functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide central project management support for parcel sorting investments and track progress.
• Coordinate stakeholders and ensure delivery against plans.
• Develop five-year production strategies and network masterplans with country teams and consultants.
• Improve group-wide performance monitoring, KPIs, reporting and benchmarking.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing across GLS countries and external partners.

Working with country organisations, Group experts and external partners, you will contribute to topics ranging from parcel sorterinfrastructure and long-term production and network strategies to Group-wideperformance monitoring and emerging automation technologies.This role offers broad exposure to the development of an international parcel network and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as you grow.

What can you expect with us?

• Support international infrastructure projects: Provide central project management support for parcel sorting investments, track progress, coordinate stakeholders and help ensure delivery against agreed plans
• Develop future production and network strategies: Work with country teams, Group experts and external consultants to develop and maintain five-year production strategies and network masterplans
• Improve Group-wide performance monitoring: Help further develop operational KPIs, reporting and benchmarking across GLS countries
• Share knowledge across the Group: Facilitate collaboration between countries and support the exchange of operational experience, best practices and solutions
• Evaluate new production technologies: Support the assessment of emerging technologies, automation solutions and innovative concepts for future operations
• Take increasing ownership: Work alongside experienced colleagues and progressively develop towards broader responsibility for projects and strategic topics

What do you bring to the table?

• Several years of relevant professional experience in the CEP industry, GLS or a comparable logistics, engineering or consulting environment
• A degree in engineering, logistics, supply chain management, business administration or another relevant technical or business discipline
• Practical project management experience, with the ability to structure, coordinate and track complex initiatives
• A good understanding of logistics operations, combined with a strong interest in technology, automation and innovation
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to understand the bigger picture while also diving into details when needed
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across countries, functions and organisational levels
• A practical, hands-on approach, with the willingness to take ownership, drive topics forward and turn concepts into concrete actions
• Fluent English to work effectively across our international organisation
• Previous experience in the CEP industry or within GLS is beneficial
• Exposure to parcel sorting, production technologies or automation is an advantage
