Beyond Sports in Alkmaar, Netherlands, is seeking a Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of consumer‑facing software products, including websites, mobile apps, and data visualizations.

You will scope, plan, budget, and manage projects with Design, Engineering, and QA teams, ensuring on-time delivery and high quality while coordinating with external clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software or digital projects from start to finish, preferably consumer-facing (web/mobile/visualizations).
• Ability to scope, plan, budget, and coordinate resources across teams.
• Strong understanding of software development processes and cross-functional collaboration across Design, Engineering and QA.
• Proven ability to translate client requirements into clear scopes and user stories.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end delivery of consumer-facing software projects (websites, apps, data visuals).
• Own scoping, planning, budgeting and progress reporting to timelines and quality targets.
• Coordinate with Design, Engineering and QA to ensure clarity and successful delivery.
• Manage client relationships and act as main point of contact throughout delivery lifecycle.
• Coordinate activities during live events and product launches when needed.
• Proactively identify risks and drive mitigation and resolution.
• Foster collaboration and facilitate decision making among stakeholders.

What Your Day Will Look Like

As a Project Manager within the Beyond Sports Delivery Team, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of consumer-facing software projects, including websites, mobile applications, data visualizations, and other digital sports experiences.

You’ll take ownership of scoping, planning, budgeting, and project delivery, while making sure projects stay on track and meet the quality our clients and users expect. You’ll work closely with our Design, Engineering, and QA teams, facilitating collaboration and ensuring everyone has the clarity they need to deliver successfully.

You’ll also be a key point of contact for our external clients. From translating customer requirements and feedback into clear scopes, functional requirements, and user stories to managing expectations, risks, and project progress, you’ll make sure communication stays clear throughout the entire project lifecycle.

When our products go live, you’ll be there too, acting as a central point of communication and helping coordinate and escalate where necessary during live events.

While this role is based in Alkmaar, Netherlands, we believe in the power of in-person collaboration, so we expect you to be available for 32–40 hours per week in the office.

Skills and Experience

You don’t need to tick every box, but here’s what we’re looking for:

• Proven experience managing software or digital projects from start to finish, ideally including consumer-facing products such as websites, mobile applications, or data visualization products

• Experience with project scoping, planning, budgeting, and resource coordination

• Strong understanding of software development processes and working with multidisciplinary teams across Design, Engineering, and QA

• Experience translating customer requirements and feedback into clear scopes, functional requirements, and user stories

• Strong client and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to act as the main point of contact throughout project delivery

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience managing project risks, issues, reporting, documentation, and delivery progress

• The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and attention to detail

• A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving

• Strong collaboration and facilitation skills, with the ability to bring teams and stakeholders together around decisions

• The confidence to negotiate, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts professionally when needed

• Experience working with project management and delivery tools such as Azure DevOps and Jira

• Familiarity with modern AI tools such as Copilot and Claude

• A good understanding of data or data-driven products is strongly preferred

Nice to have:

• Experience with tools such as Figma and Trello

• Experience working within the sports, media, broadcast, or technology industry

• Experience supporting the delivery of live products or events

• Experience identifying and implementing improvements to delivery processes and ways of working
