Beyond Sports is seeking a Unity Developer to build and evolve our core VR Commentator platform. You will own key Unity components, ensuring robustness and high performance while collaborating with developers and artists on scalable features.

You’ll work on-site in Alkmaar, Netherlands, 40 hours per week, contributing to a fast-paced, knowledge-sharing culture and exciting immersive tech products.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Unity3D development experience.
• Solid knowledge of C# development.
• Experience with asynchronous programming and debugging.

What Your Day Will Look Like

As a Unity Developer at Beyond Sports, you’ll play a key role in building and evolving our core product, our VR Commentator solution used by leading sports organisations to create real-time digital content.

You’ll collaborate closely with developers and artists, taking ownership of key parts of our Unity applications to ensure they are robust, performant, and scalable for global use. Alongside developing and improving platform features, you’ll also contribute to our growing focus on immersive technologies such as VR.

You’ll support and motivate your colleagues, share knowledge, and help drive best practices. Whether you’re debugging asynchronous processes, optimising data structures, or improving system architecture, you’ll be shaping how we bring sports data to life.

This role is based on-site at our Alkmaar office (40 hours per week). You’ll need to be living in the Netherlands (or willing to move) and eligible to work in the EU.

Tech Stack And Skill Requirements

You don’t need to tick every box, but here’s what we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of professional experience working with Unity3D
• Strong knowledge of C# development
• Solid experience with asynchronous programming and debugging
• Proficiency with GIT or similar version control systems
• Bachelor (HBO) level working and thinking capability

Nice to have

• Experience working on performance-critical or real-time applications
• Familiarity with immersive technologies such as VR or AR (or interest in learning)
• Knowledge of OpenXR or similar frameworks
