Job summary

KNAPP Benelux B.V. in the Benelux region seeks a Project Manager to coordinate logistics automation projects from contract signing through final delivery.

You will lead a diverse, international project team and act as the main contact for the client, Sales, and Customer Service departments. You will report to the Head of Project Implementation Benelux and collaborate with the international project team in Austria, the customer, and various suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level education (HBO) ideally technical field.
• 4–7 years of relevant work experience in a similar role, preferably in logistics/technical environments.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary and international project teams.
• Excellent communication in Dutch and English; German is a plus.
• Customer-focused, result-driven, proactive, structured.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to successful completion in collaboration with international teams.
• Act as main contact for local customer and internal departments; oversee task allocation.
• Monitor scope, assess deviations, manage claims, risks and escalations.
• Propose improvement initiatives and act as trouble-shooter.
• Prepare and monitor project documentation; track progress and reports.
• Coordinate project on-site and ensure smooth handovers across phases.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering and Customer Service for execution.

This makes you the Project Manager that KNAPP Benelux is looking for! In the Benelux region, you will work closely with a dedicated and professional team of six colleagues. As a Project Manager, you will have a versatile and challenging position in which you contribute to the successful delivery of logistics automation projects across the Benelux. You will work on long-term projects, from contract signing through to final delivery.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading projects to successful completion in close collaboration with the international project team in Graz (Austria), responsible for engineering, production, and commissioning.
• Acting as the main point of contact for the local customer, the international project team, and the local Sales and Customer Service departments. You will oversee task allocation and hold stakeholders accountable for their responsibilities.
• Monitoring the project scope and identifying, assessing, and following up on deviations (claim, risk, and escalation management).
• Acting as a trouble-shooter and proposing improvement initiatives.
• Preparing, monitoring, and adjusting project documentation where necessary, tracking project progress, and compiling and presenting progress reports.
• Acting as the project coordinator on-site.
• Working closely with Sales Engineering and Customer Service to ensure a smooth handover and execution across all project phases.

You will report to the Head of Project Implementation Benelux and collaborate closely with the international project team in Austria, the customer, and various suppliers.

• A minimum bachelor’s (HBO) level of education, preferably in a technical field
• 4 to 7 years of relevant work experience in a similar role, preferably in a logistics and/or technical environment
• Experience working in multidisciplinary and international project teams
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English; German is a plus
• A customer-focused and result-driven mindset, with the ability to work flexibly, independently, and in a structured manner
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to engage with various stakeholders, a proactive attitude, and resilience in dynamic and changing environments
