Technolution has a reputation in the market for reliability: we deliver working systems on time and within budget. We are really proud that we manage to live up to this reputation time and again. We develop advanced solutions in the form of software and electronics for many fields, including mobility, energy, industry, security and high-tech. Good project management is crucial in our work. Do you have what it takes to lead our large-scale technology projects?
As a project manager with Technolution, you lead multiple long‑term projects. Examples are building an innovative operating system for a new tunnel, designing a cloud environment for a grid operator, or developing an advanced electron microscope. We work for public and private clients. Our client portfolio is broad and diverse, ranging from large organizations such as provinces, Rijkswaterstaat and grid operators to consortiums with high‑tech start‑ups and science institutions.
You are our clients’ link with Technolution; you translate their wishes into a fully‑fledged project plan, are responsible for the planning and financial health of the project and, above all, stimulate your team to find solutions for a system that is the perfect fit. Whenever you see opportunities to support the client even better, you turn this into a successful new contract. Of course, you’re not on your own on this, but you do this together with our business developers, and for the required technical input on contents you work together closely with our project leaders, architects and domain specialists.
Delivering working systems on time is Technolution’s showpiece. That is why you constantly monitor the progress and quality of your products. If the scope of the project changes, you are flexible enough to deal with it, but you do communicate very clearly what the consequences of any changes are. You correct the course the project is taking whenever necessary and talk to people as soon as you identify bottlenecks. When doing so, you proactively suggest alternatives and solutions, while always keeping in mind the interests of both the client and Technolution. This is how you ensure that the expectations of clients, partners and team members remain realistic.
At Technolution, the well‑being and the personal and professional development of our colleagues is a main priority. Your role as project manager is defined by the project, but you have a lot of feeling with the people around you: you know how to create a team. You make sure your team members feel supported and you take their personal preferences and learning objectives into account so that they are happy in their jobs.
Communication is your great strength. You are a good listener and are not afraid to take the lead. People can build on you because you don’t make empty promises. You are open to suggestions but will take difficult decisions if necessary. You have a good feeling for the subtleties of working in large organizations.
Everything at Technolution breathes technology. With 300 technical professionals, we have been delivering high‑quality software and electronics for over 35 years to clients in mobility, energy, industry, security, and high‑tech sectors. Passion for technology, ownership, and reliability are our core values.
