Job summary

Technolution in Gouda is seeking a Medior Software Engineer to develop software for projects that matter to society. You’ll use Java, C#, and Rust, work with skilled colleagues, and enjoy independence and room for personal development.

You’ll start with daily stand-ups, discuss client issues, and help shape features with architects. You’ll write clean code, contribute to quality and optimize processes, with the option to work from home or in the office.

Qualifications

Completed a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
At least three years of experience as a software engineer.
Experience with multiple current programming languages and the motivation to learn other languages.
Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

Participate in stand-up meetings to discuss client issues and plan solutions.
Collaborate with architects to design features and assess impact.
Write high-quality code and contribute to quality control and process optimization.
Develop diverse projects using Rust, Java, and C# with freedom to choose tools.

Your job as a Medior Engineer

If having fun in your job is important to you, you%27re going to like Technolution. Together with your colleagues, all (like you) at the top of their game, you%27ll be working on challenging projects every day of the week. To give a few examples: you might help build the cloud version of the Netherlands%27 largest traffic management platform, or a system that collects and drains excess water after torrential rain showers or an energy management system.

Your day begins with a stand-up, where you discuss any issues that the client has flagged with your project team and decide on what the solution. You support and help the developers, discuss pros and cons of the approach chosen, and settle complex issues if necessary. Together with the architect you talk through new features, make suggestions for the design and assess the impact on the current application. You%27re constantly exchanging ideas. Obviously, you write excellent code, and contribute to quality control and the optimization of processes and systems. All the while keeping a clear view of the project as a whole and its goals and end results.

We do a lot of very diverse projects, so there will always be one that suits you. And we work with the latest technologies and languages - including Rust. Whenever possible you use the tools that you like best and you have a lot of freedom to do things the way you think is best. Did we mention that at Technolution, you%27ll almost always be working either in the office or at home? We don%27t do secondment.
