Job summary

Van Oord is seeking a Project HSE Coordinator to ensure a safe and healthy working environment across our international projects. You will rotate to different project locations, building strong relationships with colleagues, contractors and clients, and keeping safety at the heart of every decision.

You will support continuous improvement in safety, lead on policy communication, and contribute to a global, high-demand organization with opportunities for development and certifications such as GWO

Qualifications

• Degree in Health, Safety and Environment or equivalent.
• Experience or strong interest in HSE.
• Proficiency in English and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety policies, objectives, procedures and plans are communicated and followed by project teams and subcontractors.
• Report on safety performance to management and address audit findings to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain strong communication with supervisors, clients and the QHSE department; support a project HSE team as needed.

Working on rotation at different project locations, you help project teams turn our safety ambitions into everyday practice. You build strong relationships with colleagues, contractors and clients, giving them the confidence to work safely and responsibly. You know how to balance different interests while keeping safety at the heart of every decision. • Reporting on the safety performance to the management, addressing on audit and inspection findings and taking action on the matters to prevent recurrence
• Maintaining a strong communication and collaboration relationship with the supervisors, client, third parties and the QHSE department
• Managing the project HSE team could be a part of your role, depending on experience, we encourage our employees to continue to develop and learn
