Job summary

Van Oord is seeking a Project HSE Coordinator to help create a safe and sustainable working environment across our international projects. You will work on rotation at different project locations and turn safety ambitions into everyday practice with project teams.

You will build strong relationships with colleagues, contractors and clients, balance competing interests and keep safety at the heart of every decision.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree, preferably with a focus on Health, Safety and Environment.
• Experience in a similar role is an advantage.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Genuine drive to make a positive impact on safety.

Responsibilities

• Improve safety awareness and culture within projects, encouraging project management to take responsibility.
• Ensure safety policies, objectives, procedures and plans are communicated and followed by all project members and subcontractors.
• Report safety performance to management, address audit findings and take action to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain strong communication with supervisors, clients, third parties and the QHSE department.
• Potentially manage the project HSE team, with development opportunities for employees.
