Job description

Your day as a Project Buyer?

Ready to tackle some challenges?

You start your day by gaining a good overview of the progress in your various projects. You have two meetings scheduled with two project teams, for which you proactively prepare to address any obstacles hindering progress. Clear communication is key when discussing project statuses and defining strategy for the way forward.

Following the meetings, you connect with module builders to assess supply chain risks over the next two months. A quick scan of the order book highlights potential obstacles for the week ahead, encouraging you to approach bottleneck suppliers for special arrangements.

In the afternoon, you sit for your weekly review with the Supplier Quality Engineer, addressing rejects and inspection findings to secure the supply chain. You prepare for the bottleneck analysis of Project X to ensure efficiency for tomorrow's meeting with the responsible Project Manager.

Before leaving for the day, you follow up on quotation requests, evaluate bids against budget constraints, and after achieving alignment with project parameters, you collect necessary approvals and proceed to release orders to your strategic partner. Satisfied with your day's accomplishments, you look forward to tomorrow's challenges.

How you get things moving:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management;
  • 1 to 2 years relevant work experience as a Buyer and/or within another Supply Chain position;
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills in English and/or Dutch;
  • A growth mindset;
  • Able to establish and develop supplier relationships.

A completely new supermarket experience. Huh, what?! Really.

Once you start working at Lan Handling, shopping will never be the same again. From that day on, you will turn over all the pouches, cans, and jars you see. You'll find yourself always checking: yes! we also handle this product with our machines! But that's not all of course:

  • A working environment full of opportunities to keep developing yourself. Good idea? Any wishes regarding training? Discuss it with your supervisor and get started.
  • A great working space and tasteful coffee.
  • Flexible working hours, so you can make time for sports, hobbies, or just to take your children calmly to school in the morning.
  • In addition to 25 vacation days, you also get 13 days of paid leave so you have enough time to do fun things outside of work.
  • An annual profit-sharing benefit. Because our vision is that we do it together and everyone contributes to a positive result for the organization, meaning you also benefit from a financially successful year.
  • Join us for a Trabant ride, a tandem ride to the Trappist monastery, or shine during one of the other fun activities organized by our staff association.
  • 8% holiday allowance.
  • Good travel expenses.
