Job summary

Neways Electronics International NV is seeking a Project Buyer to join a customer-focused team focused on procurement from RFQ to NPI. You will ensure on-time availability of materials, manage pricing and lead times, and act as a crucial link between customers and suppliers in a high-tech, low-volume environment.

The role calls for strong communication, 3+ years of purchasing experience, and a technical mindset, with AS9100 and defense/aerospace exposure considered assets.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and decisiveness; ability to switch quickly between stakeholders.
• 3+ years of purchasing experience in production or project-driven environments.
• Affinity with or experience in a technical setting.
• AS9100 knowledge/experience is an asset.
• Defense/aerospace industry knowledge is an asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication in Dutch and English (German a plus).

Responsibilities

• Support Sales during RFQ to obtain favorable prices and terms from suppliers.
• Ensure timely availability of materials and services for initial deliveries.
• Set up systems with pricing and parameters for smooth handover to operations.

As a Project Buyer, you are part of a customer team in which you represent the procurement function. Our customers are primarily active in the semiconductor and defense industries. In our international high-tech, low-volume, high-mix production environment, you serve as a crucial link between customer requests and our suppliers. You take ownership of the procurement process from RFQ to NPI and ensure that required products are available on time, while keeping a close eye on lead time, pricing, and quality.

What you bring to the team

Strong communication skills and decisiveness; you're used to quickly switching between different stakeholders

Affinity with or experience in a technical setting

Knowledge and experience working in accordance with the AS9100 standard are considered an asset.

Knowledge and experience in the defense and/or aerospace industry are considered an asset.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English (German is a plus)

Job requirements

Your daily responsibilities include

Supporting Sales during the RFQ process towards our customers; your role is to obtain the right prices and terms from both existing and new suppliers to help Neways win the offer.

Ensuring timely availability of materials and services to enable initial product deliveries to customers.

Setting up systems with pricing and parameters to ensure a smooth handover to regular operations.

Coordinating with stakeholders such as Sales, Engineering, and Quality.
