Global Enterprise Partners seeks an experienced Program Lead to drive a strategic enterprise-wide Data Platform Modernisation initiative in the Netherlands. You will combine programme leadership with deep enterprise data architecture, SAP data technologies, and cloud data platforms to manage a large-scale transformation.

The role covers governance, data products, semantic models, data lineage, and evolving architectures using SAP Datasphere, SAP BDC, Databricks, and lakehouse concepts.

Our client is seeking an experienced Program Lead to drive a strategic enterprise-wide Data Platform Modernisation initiative.

The successful candidate will combine strong programme leadership with a deep understanding of enterprise data architecture, SAP data technologies, cloud data platforms, and large-scale transformation programmes.

• Initial 12-month contract
• Programme expected to run for approximately 2 years
• Netherlands preferred - Open to candidates based in other EU countries IF willing to commute to NL 1 time per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Data Platform Modernisation programme from strategy and planning through execution and adoption.
• Define and drive the roadmap for transitioning from SAP BW and BW/4HANA environments to a next-generation enterprise data platform.
• Help establish the future-state architecture across enterprise data, analytics, AI, governance, and integration capabilities.
• Guide architectural decision-making and provide challenge where required to ensure long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Support the design of modern data capabilities including data products, semantic models, data governance frameworks, lineage, and data quality standards.
• Shape the organisation's approach to cloud-based data platforms and emerging technologies, including SAP Business Data Cloud, Datasphere, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and lakehouse architectures.
• Align business leaders, architects, delivery teams, and external partners around a common transformation vision.
• Establish programme governance, delivery structures, operating models, and decision-making frameworks.Support strategic engagement with technology vendors and implementation partners.
• Drive organisational adoption and ensure business value is realised throughout the transformation journey.

Required Experience

• Proven leadership experience delivering large-scale enterprise data transformation programmes.
• Strong experience leading SAP BW or BW/4HANA modernisation, migration, or platform transformation initiatives.
• Deep understanding of enterprise data architecture, modern data platforms, and cloud analytics ecosystems.
• Experience with technologies such as SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, or similar enterprise data platforms.
• Strong understanding of modern data management concepts including:
  • Data products
  • Data contracts
  • Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Metadata and lineage
  • Semantic data models
  • Data governance and quality frameworks
• Experience working closely with enterprise architects, data architects, engineering teams, and senior business stakeholders.
• Ability to bridge strategic business requirements with complex technical transformation programmes.
