Job summary

NIZO is seeking an Operator Proeffabriek / Pilot Plant Technician to join our food-grade pilot plant team in the Netherlands. You will actively operate the pilot plant for client projects, run experiments, and handle various unit-operations, including spray dryers and membrane filtration.

The role requires a practical technical mindset, willingness to work in a two-shift schedule, and a forklift license or the willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• MBO+ or HBO level with 2+ years industrial production experience.
• Willingness to work in a 2-shift schedule.
• Forklift license or willingness to obtain one.
• Education/experience in food technology is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Work actively in the pilot plant for NIZO customers following quality policy and project plan.
• Independently run experiments and pilot productions and operate process equipment.
• Be the expert for a number of processes or unit-operations.
• Provide technological input for project proposals and production processes to project leaders.
• Maintain entrusted process installations and perform preventive maintenance in coordination with Technical Service.

Education

MBO+ qualification with at least 2 years of industrial production experience

HBO-equivalent qualification with at least 2 years of production experience
