Job summary

Envu in Wageningen, The Netherlands, is seeking a Production Team Lead to oversee daily production activities, manage a 50-person workforce with four supervisors, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time output.

You will lead production planning, staff training, machine maintenance, and process improvements, requiring a minimum of three years of team leadership and a degree in Manufacturing or Engineering.

• Oversee and coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficiency and meet production targets.
• Train and supervise production staff, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot production machinery to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
• We are looking for a person who enjoys working with people and is passionate about leading, developing, and motivating a team.
• The key responsibility of this role is to lead the production workforce. The current workforce pool consists of approximately 50 employees, with around 25 employees scheduled per shift. As a result, the Team Lead is responsible for ensuring that all production positions are adequately staffed and that operations run smoothly. The Team Lead will be supported by four supervisors.
• An essential requirement for this position is a proven track record of successfully leading teams for a minimum of three years. Strong people management, communication, and leadership skills are critical to success in this role.

YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO

Production Planning & Coordination

• Schedule and assign tasks to production staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor production workflow and adjust schedules to meet deadlines efficiently.
• Ensure optimal use of materials, equipment, and labor to maximize productivity.

Staff Training & Supervision

• Train new employees on production processes, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Provide ongoing coaching and support to enhance team performance.
• Ensure all staff follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workplace safety guidelines.

Machine Maintenance & Process Optimization

• Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of production machines.
• Identify and resolve technical issues to prevent production delays.
• Work on process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure that all production activities meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor raw materials and finished products to maintain consistency and quality.
• Implement and enforce health and safety regulations in the production area.

Production Support & Material Preparation

• Assist in the mixing and preparation of powders.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to maintain quality and prevent contamination.
• Support the production team in daily operations, troubleshooting issues, and improving workflow.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE

Main requirements
