Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech in Nijmegen, Netherlands, seeks a Production Operator to operate and adjust manufacturing machinery, perform format changes, and support diverse production areas in compliance with GMP, SOPs and quality standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
Commitment to safety and cleanliness standards.
Ideally experience in manufacturing or production environment; LEAN tools and continuous improvement desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

Operate manufacturing machinery, monitor and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Follow SOPs, GMP, and safety protocols; maintain clean work area to prevent contamination.
Prepare and verify batch components; perform format changeovers for production runs.
Manufacture products per procedures, GMP, documentation practices and quality standards.
Conduct product inspections and in-process checks for specifications compliance.
Prepare, document and complete production records, including batch reconciliation and material transfers.
Adhere to PPE and security requirements; report risks and follow Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines.
Support team members in manufacturing processes; foster cooperation and support finished goods projects.
Escalate deviations, batch mix-ups, defects, or issues affecting safety, production or quality; communicate improvement opportunities.

We have several new openings to join us as a Production Operator in Nijmegen, Netherlands

Purpose In this role, you will operate manufacturing machinery, make adjustments, and execute product changes as necessary. You will perform all functions required for different manufacturing areas in accordance with established procedures, Good Manufacturing and Documentation Practices, Quality Standards, Safety Rules, and the Employee Code of Conduct. You will also complete a period of training, qualification, and apprenticeship while supporting the manufacturing team in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner, reporting to the Team Lead Production.

You Will Be Responsible For

Operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance
Following SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and safety protocols at all times while maintaining cleanliness of the work area to prevent contamination or mix-ups
Preparing and verifying batch components and preparing machinery, including performing format changeovers for production runs
Manufacturing products in accordance with established procedures, GMP, documentation practices, and quality standards
Conducting product inspections and in‑process checks to ensure compliance with specifications
Preparing, documenting, and accurately completing production records, including batch reconciliation and supporting material transfers
Following PPE and corporate security requirements, reporting risks, and ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and company regulations
Supporting team members in manufacturing processes, fostering cooperation, and supporting finished goods projects and assigned tasks
Escalating process deviations, batch mix‑ups, critical defects, or other issues impacting safety, production, or product quality, while ensuring compliance with the Employee Code of Conduct and communicating improvement opportunities

Qualifications / Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent qualification required
Strong attention to detail and quality
Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
An ability to follow instructions and effective communication skills combined with an ability to work well within a team
Commitment to safety and cleanliness standards
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Ideally experience in manufacturing or production environment ; experience with LEAN tools and continuous improvement methodologies is also desirable, but not a must have

The position is initially offered on the basis of a 1-year fixed-term contract with possibility of extension depending on performance.

The Anticipated Base Pay Range For This Position Is

€34.200,00 - €50.600,00
