Job summary

Sun Chemical Corporation, Maastricht site, seeks an experienced Production Manager to lead a team of about 45 employees and drive operational excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You will oversee safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance while championing Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, shaping site strategy and ensuring a strong EHS culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production/manufacturing.
• Proven leadership and change management capabilities.
• Solid knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence.
• Familiarity with ISO9001 standards.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and inspire a team of approximately 45 employees, fostering engagement and accountability.
• Drive performance across safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets (SQCD).
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives (Lean / Operational Excellence).
• Manage budgets and optimize resources to support business objectives.
• Act as Deputy Site Manager, contributing to site-wide strategy and decision-making.
• Promote and ensure a strong EHS culture and safety compliance.
