Job description

Product Manager: Quantum Control Software

Structure the Roadmap. Drive the Strategy.

As Qblox scales, the complexity of our software ecosystem grows. We are looking for a Product Manager to bring structure to our software roadmap and its execution. This is a role for someone who can translate high-level technical inputs from our Quantum Applications and Sales teams into a coherent, executable product strategy.

You will own the software interface roadmap for our research, industrial, and HPC deployment markets. Your primary focus is ensuring that we are developing the right features at the right time to support long-term growth and sustainable monetisation.

Core Responsibilities
  • Roadmap Architecture: Take broad input from across the company—including Sales, Marketing, and Applications—and use it to build a structured software roadmap. You must understand the technical details sufficiently to manage the process effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Synchronisation: Act as the primary interface between the R&D and MSO (Marketing, Sales, and Operations) teams. You will demonstrate strong leadership by navigating complex stakeholder interests, ensuring that everyone from engineering to senior leadership is not only informed but strategically aligned on our trajectory.
  • Strategic Decision Making: Oversee critical Buy, Build, or Partner decisions. You should have a clear understanding of why our products succeed or fail in the market and use that data to guide development dilemmas.
  • Lifecycle Oversight: Guide the execution of the product development process from initial definition through to market launch, ensuring that we deliver high-performance specifications on time.
About the Department

The role sits within our Product & Quantum Applications department. We value technical precision, direct communication, and a practical approach to solving the challenges of quantum control.

Enough about us, what about you?

To really enjoy the role, we imagine an experienced professional who prioritises clarity and evidence over hyperbole, likely to have the following experience:

  • A PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or Software Engineering Manager in a high-tech B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with complex software that interfaces directly with hardware.
  • Natural leadership presence with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders. You can advocate for the product vision while maintaining collaborative, high-trust relationships across technical and commercial teams.
  • Experience with development or engineering for High-Performance Computing (HPC) centers is going to benefit you.
  • Strong abstraction and planning skills. You can distinguish "needs" from "wants" and forge consensus across technical teams.

In an ideal world:

  • A vision on how quantum computers should integrate in an HPC environment.
