As a Product Engineer – Avionics & Instruments, you play a key role in strengthening and expanding our Component Maintenance (CMRO) capabilities. You are responsible for developing new repair technologies, test equipment and procedures, while continuously improving existing capabilities within the Avionics & Instruments shop.
Responsibilities
- Develop new avionics and instruments repair capabilities and technologies
- Maintain and continuously improve existing repair capabilities and test equipment
- Support the shopfloor with complex troubleshooting and reliability improvements
- Identify and initiate cost‑saving and performance improvement initiatives
- Support new business opportunities by expanding or optimizing capabilities
- Analyze technical data and support the Product Owner in improving product‑level performance insights
Required Qualifications
- BSc or MSc degree (HBO/WO) in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Solid understanding of electrical components and avionics systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A proactive mindset with the ability to solve complex technical challenges
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in the aviation or MRO industry
- Experience with programming (e.g. Python, C++ or similar)
- Hands‑on experience with test equipment and troubleshooting
- Experience with continuous improvement / Lean principles
- Knowledge of systems such as radio navigation, flight displays, flight control electronics or communication systems
