Your Vision, Our Mission
At Cosmetic Vision, we partner with beauty brands to bring their product ideas to life. As a full-service product development boutique, we guide our clients from concept to shelf across skincare, haircare, makeup, fragrance, and dietary supplements, covering formulation, compliance, production, and innovation.
We work with clients around the world. With a growing portfolio and a strong foundation already in place, we’re expanding our established Product Development team and looking for our next Product Developer to grow with us.
The Role
As a (Junior) Product Developer, you’ll work closely with our Product Director, who will train and support you from day one as you build toward managing your own accounts and product journeys independently. You’ll play an active role in developing new products while owning the operational and administrative backbone that keeps every project on track and every client relationship well served.
This is a great next step for someone early in their career who already has some professional experience and is ready to learn fast. A background in beauty or cosmetics is welcome but not required, and we’ll teach you the industry. That said, a real affinity for beauty products is essential. What matters most is that you’re organised, reliable, and confident with clients, comfortable in a fast-moving environment, and eager to grow into running your own accounts.
What You’ll Do
- Own the operational backbone of your projects. Keep sample trackers, development timelines, product briefs, documentation, and project files accurate, current, and audit-ready. You’re the person who notices when a step has been missed.
- Take ownership of the development of cosmetic products across skincare, haircare, makeup, fragrance, and dietary supplements, growing your own portfolio of accounts over time
- Lead client communication, meetings, and reporting. Set up and run your own client meetings with confidence, build strong and lasting relationships, and take the lead in feedback and development conversations
- Organise and maintain product documentation for regulatory filings and certifications, working confidently with sample sheets, master files, spreadsheets, and compliance paperwork
- Coordinate with third-party partners, including formulators, manufacturers, packaging suppliers, and compliance experts
- Conduct trend and market research, and actively pitch new ideas both to clients and to the wider team
- Work AI-first. Use tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to research, draft, analyse, and streamline everything you do, continually finding ways to optimise your work and move faster
- Keep our systems accurate and up to date, from project files and trackers to tools such as Monday and Notion, and help drive the operational organisation the whole team relies on
- Work alongside colleagues who lead their own accounts and creative development, bringing complementary strength in structure, follow-through, and reliable delivery
Who You Are
- Early in your career and eager to grow into running your own accounts. You already work in a professional, organised way, and any coordination, operations, or client-facing experience is a plus
- AI is second nature to you. You instinctively reach for AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to optimise everything you do (research, drafting, organisation, analysis), and you’re always looking for new ways to work smarter with them. This one is non-negotiable for us
- A genuine affinity for beauty and personal-care products. You’re excited by what we make and the brands we work with, and that enthusiasm matters more to us than prior industry experience
- Strong on both sides of the role. You pair real organisational and administrative excellence with genuine client-facing confidence, and you don’t see a trade‑off
- Organised and reliable under a busy, detail-heavy workload. Trackers accurate, files tidy, processes followed; you spot a missed step before it becomes a problem, and you’re comfortable with the data, master files, spreadsheets, and documentation the role runs on
- Confident and energised with clients. You enjoy building relationships, are ready to take the lead in meetings, and want to grow into owning your own client accounts
- A strong team player who takes direction and communicates well. Our accounts overlap, so you keep colleagues in the loop, stay aware of what’s happening across the team, and step in to support others. Independent and proactive, but never a lone wolf
- A confident communicator with strong English (Dutch is a nice-to-have), comfortable with Outlook, Teams, and task trackers. Experience with an ERP is a plus
We strongly encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. At Cosmetic Vision, we believe diversity drives innovation and inclusivity strengthens our work. You belong here.
