Job summary

Philips Avent Experience Innovation in Amsterdam is seeking a talented Product Design intern to explore future product concepts, prototypes and experiences. You will work under the Experience Design Lead with designers, engineers and researchers across Amsterdam and Eindhoven.

The role requires a student in Industrial/Product Design with a strong portfolio, CAD tool proficiency, and an interest in AI-powered workflows. Onsite, 3 days/week, 40h.

Qualifications

• Studying Industrial Design, Product Design or related physical product design at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
• Strong portfolio showing physical product design thinking, sketching, form development and prototyping.
• Interest in the intersection of design, technology, UX and consumer products.
• Experience with or curiosity for CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360, KeyShot, Blender.
• Eager to explore AI-powered creative workflows for concept generation and rapid iteration.
• Proactive, collaborative and hands-on attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support front-end innovation projects by creating, visualizing and prototyping new physical product concepts.
• Translate consumer needs and parent trends into meaningful product directions for Philips Avent.
• Create sketches, storyboards, mockups, CAD models, renders and simple prototypes.
• Explore future scenarios and vision concepts for Philips Avent over the next 5–10 years.
• Experiment with tools like 3D CAD, rendering, generative AI, animation and short-form video.
• Support quick iteration loops: making, testing, learning and improving concepts based on feedback.
