Job summary

Evos is seeking an entrepreneurial Procurement Team Lead to manage procurement activities at the Amsterdam terminal and to lead a local team. The role combines strategic sourcing, contract management, stakeholder engagement, and people leadership within an industrial environment.

You will guide operations through sourcing strategies, tender processes, negotiation, and supplier management to deliver value on CAPEX projects and maintenance services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 7 years of procurement experience.
• Experience in industrial, engineering, infrastructure or similar environments.
• Strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management and contract negotiations.
• Demonstrated leadership and people-management experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Fluency in Dutch and English is essential.

About the role:As Procurement Team Lead, you will manage procurement activities across the Amsterdam terminal while leading and developing a small local procurement team. This role combines strategic sourcing, contract management, stakeholder engagement, and people leadership within an industrial environment. You will be responsible for procurement activities ranging from operational requirements and maintenance services to CAPEX projects and infrastructure improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop the local procurement team.

• Set priorities and support the team in daily procurement activities.

• Develop sourcing strategies and lead tender processes.

• Conduct contract negotiations and manage supplier relationships.

• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, HSSEQ, Finance, and Group Procurement.

• Align procurement priorities with operational and project requirements.

• Improve cost efficiency, quality, supplier performance, and overall value.

• Manage contractual and supply chain risks while ensuring compliance.

• Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and reporting, leveraging data insights and digital solutions to enhance decision-making and efficiency.

  Experience & Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of procurement experience.

  • Experience within industrial, engineering, infrastructure, or comparable technical environments preferred.

  • Strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations.

  • Demonstrated leadership and people management experience.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.

  • Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.

  • Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into sourcing strategies and contractual solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
