Job summary

Fonterra’s Heerenveen site operates 24/7 and is one of Europe’s largest whey facilities. As a Process Operator, you will manage at least one main process — filtration, evaporation, lactose preparation or drying — and contribute ideas to safety, quality and production efficiency.

You will work closely with Technical Services, fellow operators, the warehouse, the Process Manager, the QA/QC team and the Operations Manager, ensuring clear communication with the A-ware team.

Qualifications

• MBO-4 diploma in food technology or process engineering or VAPRO-C required or preferred.
• Experience with PLC-controlled production systems.
• 1–3 years in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the whey and lactose plant to ensure optimal production.
• Collaborate with Technical Services, operators, warehouse, QA/QC and management to drive safety, quality and efficiency improvements.
